    Roof rack awning

I live in Colorado and travel the Southwest , the sun is strong and in some places there is no shade. Makes sense to me.

    Roof rack awning

I am about to take delivery of my first awning and can see the argument for both sides. I generally spend more time on the driver side, as driver and letting my dog in and out of the driver side. On the argument for the passesnger side, it makes sense for those situation when you park the car...

DIY AWNING for $90 (ARB style awning) 9' x 9'

I tried this set up last year and it did not work well, especially in windy conditions. Tarp was not durable either. Guess the saying still applies, "You get what you pay for".

    Best gps nav, ?

I use both Gaia and a Garmin InReach with Earthmate. Still learning about the InReach with Earthmate in terms of user modification. Overlanding to Southeastern Utah

Thanks for the tip. This was my first trip to the area, a reconnoissance trip if you will and my second overloanding trip. I plan to go back with the next year. New to the area, so I am in an exploring mode. Next trip shortly, Northern New Mexico.

    Gazelle Tents

I purchased a Hub 3 and used it on a recent trip to SE Utah. Tte tent is as advertised, well constructed, sets up and comes down easily. From what I can see great construction and at 5'10" I can stand upright in it. Should last a long time with care. Only downsides as metioned by others, it is...

    Gaia or....

Right on. Like you Six Actual I double bag it so to speak. I have my Garmin InReach on which provides GPS info for both Garmin's Earthmate and for Gaia on my iPad. Still learning all the capabilities of both but get's me where I'm going. I do also carry a manual back up in Benchmark state...
