What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Changed oil, greased and finished wiring up the light switches....took a bit to get them so that they light up when the headlights r turned on.

I also installed a set of the Cryin Bob Off Road brake line guide kits. They seem to work well and keep the lines out of the way and prevent them from rubbing.

Wife and kiddo surprised me with some new wheels for the tacoma. They need a more aggressive tire, not sure if I should just get some or wait to lift and get a bigger tire. I like them. They did good[emoji1]

That's a great look!

Finished the all electric fan conversion today. Since a two speed aux fan is OEM, I used the existing computer outputs to trigger the two 2000cfm fans in stages, according to coolant temp, A/C demand, and road speed.

Sorry, no pics, really nothing to look at.

Then I let it sit at idle at 104F with the A/C blasting and maintained a bit under half normal range on the temp scale.

And then I did that at high cabin blower with the headlights on high beam, hazards on, electric defrost on, radio on, and rear locker engaged. I would have turned on the interior lights had I thought of it. The stock alternator handled it well.

Finished up the wiring of the fuse/relay box and cleaning up the wiring.

On a side note had a couple of heavy duty canvas tool rolls made for a couple sets of wrenches I want to have with me in the jeep.

Also had the worn out and torn seats on my grandfathers old ice fishing chairs replaced. Going to use them for camping now! Very comfortable to sit on.

I lost my only set of keys at work a few days ago so I finally gave in and had a locksmith come out and make me a key. $200 for a single damn key, but the good news is he is going to cut and program my new key fob for $40 when its close to $400 from the dealerIMG_3346.JPG

once you have 2 working programmed keys you can buy blanks on ebay get them cut and program them yourself on the truck. You just need two working keys

I only had the one key I lost and the one I got from him today isnt even a fob, its just a key with a transponder in it so I can drive the truck. Also, I found your account on Insta a few weeks ago and I had no idea you were a member! I love your truck, I am hoping to do something similar to mine when I'm not so broke haha

you don't need the fob, just two working transponder keys, I had the same problem. Here is how to program the key once you have 2 working keys, that way you can make some spares for cheap.
the first valid key is put into the ignition and turned to the "On" position for at least three seconds and no longer than 15 seconds. The key is then turned back to the "Off" position and removed from the ignition.

A second valid key is then put into the ignition and switched to "On" for 15 seconds. After 10 seconds, the security light will flash, and the key is turned to "Off" and removed.

Next, a blank Sentry key is put into the ignition and switched to "On" within 60 seconds of removing the second key. After ten seconds the security light stops flashing, and the third key is turned to "Off" and removed.

This step has programmed the new Sentry key. The Keyless Entry Transmitter has also been programmed at this time. The process can be repeated to add up to six additional keys.

As for on here, I have kind of lurked a bit but have not really had a chance to check out the forum until tonight
