SLO Rob's 2000 4Runner SR5

image.jpeg I haven't welded before, but I'm starting to be around it more. My friend Lorne builds mobile water drilling rigs out of what is essentially an adventure trailer. His welds look like house caulking...incredible.

@SLO Rob They look awesome. Thanks for posting this because now I know what mine are going to look like on my T4R!

I did a 22 degree angle. It could have been more angled, but after eyeballing for quite a while we decided the protection would be better a little farther out. Plus, I can grip tape the back so my kids can use it as a step. But...the kickout is not too far past the back wheel at all, so I'm glad we didn't angle it any more than that.

Sweet.

Monstaliner them bad boys

Right now I'm rattle canning some Rustoleum...at least until the weather dries out. They are sooo tight to the rocker, I don't think I can get Monstaliner in there!

@SLO Rob Yeah it looks super trick. Your buddy their has some skilled beads going on there. Are you gonna paint them?

As soon as I got home, I sprayed a fast layer of Rustoleum (flat black) just as some rain started up. The black looks cool...but everyone's are. I'm looking at a graphite to do the sliders and wheels in.
