Tis the season and its time to enjoy it! This will be the 1st annual Central Valley Winter Jamboree!

For once, when a gate is locked on a trail it means that we get to play! The MET trail turns into a winter wonderland for those preferring the road less traveled. We will get to enjoy roughly 22 miles of white fluffy roads. Come out and join us for some slippery snow plowing fun!

Current Plans:

  • Friday (Dec. 11th)- Travel hwy 50 to the trailhead and camp near the beginning of the trail for the night.
  • Saturday (Dec. 12th)- Break camp at approximately 0900 hrs and travel the length of the trail to its end and make camp for the night. We will stop at some point and have lunch along the way.
  • Sunday (Dec. 13th)- Break camp at approximately 0900 hrs and head back to trailhead and then head home from there.

Please plan for extreme weather and for an extended stay in case of emergency. Temperatures will be cold, please come prepared with the appropriate attire and sleeping gear.

There are a stores near the trailhead for last minute needs (Safeway & CVS, True Value, Shell, O'Reilly & NAPA).
