Thanks to everyone who served or is serving.

15 years USAF. Combat Comm & EOD. Operations: Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Provide Comfort, Joint Endeavor, Uphold Democracy (Haiti), Summer Games (Bahrain), & and a couple that shall not be named.
Currently, outside of my actual job as a federal employee, I do Austin Diaster Relief Network (ADRN) CERT & am FEMA CERT certified.
Curious, Where we’re you at during Uphold Democracy in Haiti? I led patrols every night in Petionville. Doing drug and weapons interdiction. 8 1/2 month of fun and games with the 25th Inf Div.
I was in Port-au-Prince with the 101st Airborne as NCOIC of the Comm Center. Also did patrols of the city, as did everyone else there. And yes, it was a blast.

Our home base was at the Port Au Prince airport. I was the Platoon Sergeant for the ADA unit that was in the tent next door to the Comm Tent. Small world.

Just getting back into the forums after a few busy years overseas...

Active Duty Marine coming up on 25 years, and retiring shortly after the New Year. Been an Artilleryman my whole career which probably explains why I stuck around so long. Its wild to use math and explosives, to hurl explosives downrange...so they can explode somewhere else.

Congratulations on your upcoming retirement. I did 20 and dropped papers. If you’re thinking of a second retirement with a federal agency and have questions shoot me a DM.

Howdy! Public-safety background, I've dabbled in a few of the flavors; dispatch (current part-time), LEO (prior reserve, current arson investigator), current full-time firefighter/EMT for six years - 13 overall in volunteer/part-time roles.

Glad I found this section of the forum, not sure how I didn't before... Cheers to all of you who take the fight abroad! A tip of the helmet to you all.

Did the shortest stent in the Air Force ever. I was halfway through basic training when I had issues with allergies and they sent me for an asthma test. Since I'd been a smoker until I shipped I failed. Being in the late 90's no amount of fighting would they let me stay. But I've been involved in fire/rescue for the last 16 years. Worked for 11 years as a full time medic in an urban/rural EMS system. Just left that last year to work in IT but still do it as a volunteer.

Hey everyone! Kinda re-introducing myself in here. I joined and posted hello in the main intros thread a bit over a year ago and since then my daughter was born and it's just been wild! I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things and hopefully I'll be back at it full-time in the next year or two.

I'm Ethan, I served active Army for ten years and medically retired in 2018 with 100% VA rating. I was assigned to Bragg most of my time, under the 20th EN BDE (C) (A) and did 12 months in both Iraq and Afghanistan 2009-10 and 2012-13 respectively. Then I did a wonderful assignment as a recruiter in NJ until they finalized my med board, been living up here ever since.

I currently volunteer as a Trail Guide and Instructor. I've built a few Jeeps for SEMA with RealTruck - formerly Truck Hero or Rugged Ridge. This year I had originally planned to take off completely from the off-road scene but I answered a call from a good friend whos Gladiator many may recognize:

His rig of course is the white one, and I won't give away his info but here's also my Gladiator and primary vehicle. So if you haven't guessed, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to work with Midland Radio this summer even though I was "off". I'm still taking things slow for the rest of the year, but anyone in the East region is welcome to tag me. I travel between NJ and VA pretty regularly and would love to meet for a drink.

Send me a message if you ever need anything!

I don't look this good anymore I'm sorry! Haha
