Ordered an arq4wd 270° awning.. Uses no support poles. Not a lot of reviews on it but everything I found was positive. For the price of $245 shipped to my door vs $700 for the foxwing awning made it a no brainer. Hopefully it's as nice as it looks.

It's got straps and guy lines to stake it down in the even if a strong wind. That being said I've seen some videos on their Instagram of them driving vehicles around with the awnings extended. I'm sure it'll be just fine. That being said I don't generally plan to have my awning out in high winds. I guess I'll be the guinea pig and see how it does.

Technically this was done last week but I finally had my roof rack extended to cover the whole roof and steel mesh installed so I can walk up there, had the limb risers installed and mounted my new IPF lights. There not hooked up yet but hopefully by the end of this week.

Rear Shocks.

I bought them back in Nov. and finally got some time to put them on. I got 120k out of the stock Bilsteins so I upgraded with some new ones based on recommendations from Paul at PRG.

Just driving over some local neighborhood speed bumps I can already tell there is a huge improvement. I didn't appreciate just how far gone they were.

Now I just need to find time to do the fronts.

We took a trip with some friends for our birthdays to Gatlinburg. The wife and I took the Xterra for the added room and it did great. We could have taken her car but we had planned on being the shuttle vehicle all weekend. On our last two trips we've taken our friend's Cherokee so it was our turn. The road we were on was paved but there were a few sectionsI had to put the Xterra in 1st to pull and one, I'd wager, I could have lifted the front wheels on with just a little bit of trying.

I wish there could have been a bit if hiking or off-roading but our friend is 7mos pregnant so we just hung out around the cabin for most of the time. Maybe this fall when we take the kids before school we can get out and do some more of that kind of stuff.

Do you know what the mounting bracket looks like? I'd love a picture when you get it in. I'm trying to decide how I could mount it to my OEM roof rack.

I found out my lift isn't going to be as easy as I thought. I need to get new torsion keys after all.

Sad day... dropped off my truck at someone else's shop. I don't like it when it's not home. But it's time for a front driveshaft and I can't machine one

Here is what the us vendor posted on Facebook as the mounting bracket. Looks like it's just a couple peices of L brackets...

Okay, as if my wallet does not hate me enough already... I thinking Im going to guinea pig this one with you. Hell for this price, who cares. I just emailed them and Aiden replies back 20 minutes later, after 6PM, not many do that. So customer service is kick ass in support already. I had a question about how blue is the blue as I already have a Tepui Autana tent that has a blue rain fly and was curious the color match before I just went with black. He replied with this..... And now image it wrapped around the other side of this... Im digging it.

Repaired a 4" rip in my Taco's Bestop Supertop using clear TEAR-AID on the inside of the material. Seems to be alright so far. Gonna probably add another layer of black Gear-Aid Tenacious Tape on the exterior of the topper.

Replaced my 4x4 selector switch on the 03 burb. After using 4wd my information screen would indicate "service 4wd" or a red nuetral light or would automatically switch to 4 low. After using in Tahoe 2x and this past Sunday at Frank Raines the light would come on then go away intermittently. Feedup Went on Amazon last night said this part qualify for same day delivery!! Took literally 10 minutes to swap out. Prior to swapping the service 4wd popped back up. After swapping so far so good no light! Common issue with the the gmt800 luckily only a $30 part.
