Spent the weekend making progress on my new camp cooking drawer. I still need to get the pump, plumbing, and electrical lined out so I can get the shell on and painted but I'm eager to get it back into the Xterra and get back out there again.

Well, it wasn't today, but Saturday I sold my 2016 4runner. 146289 trouble free miles and tons of adventures. Picked up an Ineos Grenadier. Should be a hoot

5 months later, and phase 1 is complete. Now I've got to develop phase 2.

Phase 2
Finish breaking in new gears
Timing belt kit, water pump etc.
Flush coolant system, new thermostat
Replace transmission fluid
Replace all valve cover gaskets, seals
Replace spark plugs, o2 sensors, MAF sensor
Clean throttle body
Replace o rings on engine oil cooler
Replace engine oil
Replace all belts and hoses
Install new transmission oil cooler fan


I'm very close to having the swing outs complete.

Paying it forward: I cannot remember who gave these quick release awning mounts to me at one of the meetups. I’m finally getting them mounted.

From the did you know file: absolutely NOBODY is making 1/4-20 drop in T slot bolts right now. Drop in is the key. Every available option requires sliding in from the end. M6 are too big at the head. M5 are too small.

Changed the oil in both differentials.

Finally got around to putting the original hook points on. Sure didn't have faith in the poorly welded points that were on the bumper. So now I have a secure spot to grab onto!

The swingouts are complete. Now on to phase 2.

Netted a whopping $19 from dropping off 380 lbs of scrap metal. At least I didn't have to pay to get rid of it.

Had a burnt headlight bulb. Replaced both. Now, if I washed it maybe I'll actually get the benefit.

Replaced a mini split AC unit in the garage and then finalized the Starlink power cable! Quick disconnects on the inside and a few screws and I can remove the outside cable if I am not going to be using it for a while!! Love the 3d printed magnet it case!! 4 100lb magnets so this thing does not come off easily!

Magnetic case is a great idea! Sadly all my surfaces are aluminum.

Yesterday & Today I permitted someone else to work on my expo truck. Mainline Overland did a great job installing my Renogy inverter flawlessly weaving it into the Redarc system.
