Can someone tell me what steps to take if I need to go thru high water and keep water out of my motor? I understand that the diff breather needs to be higher but how about the electronics on the motor ? Alternator, Starter, Plugs and so on.
And no I don't want to buy a boat, HAHA

1st big tip, get a diesel.
Secondly driving through water, although exciting and adventurous is actually very dangerous, and if at
all possible avoided.
But to respond to your question, you need to make sure:
that your engine cannot take in water.
Electronics and connections are water resistant/proof(ECUs, etc)
Electrical systems the same(Coil, HT wires, etc)
Axles need to have the breathers extended, DO NOT put them in the snorkel.
Your vehicle should let in water and preferably be negativly bouyant.
Don't rush in with a big splash, slowly and steadily and build up a good bow wave.
Drive down stream rather than up stream.

Thank you so much for the info, never crossed my mind about the diesel.
