War Machine: The Silver 01 Jeep Wj

I really like the way that rack is done. Eventually I'd like to rip the Garvin off my roof and do something with a little more capacity, something that matches the lines a little better, and is a little more sturdy.

I'm a sucker for a Jeep build

Finally got the intake system setup and mounted in.
This damn weather is making it a nightmare to do any work.

Well fuel pump is going out in the jeep so decided to just make things easy and tackle my tank tuck at the same time.

Whys that? Lol
And yea I know it's gonna net me a ton of rear ground clearance. And I didn't plan on using the spare tire well for anything just gonna build something like this over it so a tank tuck was even an easier decision lol

WJ had more comforts and more space... Wife liked it, she hates the XJ as of now. But, it is still bone stock so once I get it lifted and modded I'm sure she will come around. I am waiting to do modifications until I find out what the dealer is going to do about the rear leaf suspension.

I've thought about the tank tuck, but I don't know if I could could cut off all that sheet metal. I use my spare tire well as a big trunk at the moment too. I've been thinking of doing a rear bumper with a huge skid plate for the tank as part of it. I know it wouldn't help my departure angle any, but at least I wouldn't have to worry about punctures.

Eh it's all super thin anyways lol I'm replacing it with 11gauge steel.

As for punctures I'm not really worried about the stock skid plate is pretty stout. But your right I make a bumper tie in later on for a skid plate.

Well looks like the jeep is gonna be on hold for a while. After a close encounter with losing my dog the other day had to rethink life and the path I was going down. After scrambling to get money together to pay for his bills I decided it was time to relax and rethink lifting my jeep, atleast at present time.
Returned my tires and rims I had bought just a month earlier, and will only be finishing the install of parts I currently have for it. So jeeps gonna be neglected pretty much for the next couple years till I can save up to get my lift and tires.
Life goes on and I will still be around.

Tank tuck almost done. Here's what I have so far tho.
Already tested the filler neck and it fills just fine. If ya don't like it drill through the unibody rails. I didn't have a hole saw big enough for it nor anymore money to get one.
Have to cut the box template out of the steel I got and then seal that up, cut the carpet and it'll be good to go.
Cut 5.5" out of the skid itself and then 4 5/8" out of the filler neck.

This pic shows where I was unable to cut with the metal sheers so I just cut it with my Dremel tool took a while but didn't want to have sparks by the fuel tank lol

The fuel line box will eventually be covered with this so not worried about damaging it

Gonna try to get all the wiring done this weekend since has calmed down a bit.

Also looking for new shocks and possibly getting new springs as well as isolators.
Looking at the freedom offroad kit since it's on 300 bucks shipped with shocks and springs.

Got my spod switches mounted up. Not my favorite but I can reach all the buttons comfortably.

Also picked up the wood and hardware for my rear cargo area.

Worked on installing the spod today. Found out my cables are about 4ft too short so I got in contact with them to see about an exchange/purchase longer ones.
Anyways here the bracket I made up its kinda flex so I'd like to add some beefier bolts to it eventually.
