When i was researching tires sizes for my truck i compiled the reference list below. Maybe someone here will find some of this useful.

Wheels and Tire Sizes

2013 Chevy Silverado
Stock Wheel = 17x7.5 +31mm offset - 6x5.5” bolt pattern

Formula =
1. Width x Aspect Ratio = Side wall height
2. Side wall height x2 + (Wheel Diameter x 25.4) = Tire Height

17” Wheel

• 265/70r17 = 31.6” Tire

• 275/70r17 = 32.1” Tire

• 285/70r17 = 32.7” Tire

• 285/75r17 = 33.8” Tire - BFG KO2

• 295/70r17 = 33.2” Tire

• 305/65r17 = 32.6” Tire

• 305/70r17 = 33.8” Tire

• 315/70r17 = 34.36” Tire - BFG KO2

18” Wheel

• 265/70r18 = 32.6’ Tire

• 275/70r18 = 33.1” Tire

• 285/65r18 = 32.5” Tire

on the money theoretically..... but not all 235/85R16s are equal.

best to read the manufacturers spec for actual size and rpm.

You are correct. No two manufactures will be the same. There’s just too much variation in the manufacturing process. But this definitely gets you in the ballpark and helps in the decision making process.

It helped me determine I needed to do a Norcal tuck on the Silverado’s front fenders to fit 285/75r17 without any rubbing.
