The plan is to slowly explore as much as we can and could re-arrange the plans if certain spots are not available.
If time allows we could explore Valley of Fire or Gold Butte National Monument on the way back

That is an amazing trip. We spent a week in the North Rim last year. Point Sublime needs a permit to camp from NPS on certain dates.

Don't forget...
Whitmore (36.151650, -113.20554)
easy hike to the river
is usually crowded

Kanab point (36.40692, -112, 64988)
Good dispersed camping
no shade

Locust Point (36.39790, -112.35742)
great dispersed camping

Above Crystal Canyon(36.25254, -112.19206)
in the forest

Just make sure you are not caught in rain there. Mud will be impassable.

So just an after trip observation,
Dirt at North Rim at 8k is very similar to Tahoe and when its wet easily passable.
But once you come down to 5-6k everything changes.
For example the road to Toroweap has a lot more clay and it a totally different challenge during or after the rain.

Great pics. . . we like some of the less popular areas outside of the park and visit them in the off-season.
