Great meeting everyone and a really good turn-out for a first time. I will pick out a date for the next one, as mentioned before I will do this one on a Sunday. Did the time work well for everyone? Also, I think parking will be in front of the Ethan Allen, same parking lot just over a bit. the REI/In-n-out side was SLAMMED, 50 yards away, we had all the space we needed.

Also some talk both during and after the meet-up about needing to get a fun trail day in with the group. I don't know the trails well enough, and having a stock truck still limits me. So if someone wants to take the lead on this, that is more familiar with a trail suitable one and all, or one that has offshoots for those who want flex a bit and those of us who need a more tame trail.

I was thinking about doing Red Canyon, meeting at the General Patton Museum. I heard that was a fun, and easy trail for a rookie to get on.

One last thing, it was brought up if there was an Overland Bound group on FB. I checked, and there are regions already up but no West, California, or Socal. I can start a SoCal one if you guys want? Many mentioned they don't spend much time on the forums and that FB would work better.

Go for it Frank! I will join up.. I have FunTreks' maps and SD card for trails and there are quite a few around that a stock vehicle should have no problem with, ( they rate them on Difficulty , easy, moderate, and difficult ) one that comes to mind is Liebre mountain ,by Hwy 138, another is Pilot Rock Rd. and a good one the the wife really likes is Skyline Drive above the ski areas in Big Bear ( depending on the snow )

I am thinking a SW region (California, Nevada, AZ) page, thoughts?
My thinking is that we all likely spend a lot of time in that southwest tristate desert area. Some collaboration with our neighboring desert friends could be good unless ya'll think it's too big and we can just do CA or Socal group and only plan trip out of Socal regardless of destinations.

SW region - I like it. People will add their sub-conversations and everyone will be in the loop. Even with the Mojave Rd trip coming up, there are OB members from NM and Northern CA going.
