Aesthetics are subjective, so the fact that it looks or not cool will be up to you.
The facts are that even if you dont dunk your vehicle in water or live on less-than-dusty areas, the snorkel will not hinder your vehicle in any way, it will at the very least perform exactly like it used to. So it doesn't hurt to install one if you have doubts.
That being said: I do drive my truck in really dusty environments and I do cross deep water very frequently so for me its a no brainer, all of my trucks have had them, the current one does, and the future ones will.
