I have both although my Colemans are white gas. I really don't see this as an either or nor do I see them as interchangeable. I see the scottle as a large wok or fry pan which, as noted above, is good for a crowd but if I am doing anything liquid or using my pressure cooker it is not the right tool. If I only had one it would be the dual burner stove as I see it being useful for many more applications.

I just got a propane conversion for the white gas stove so now I have 4 burners with the cold weather option of 2 on white gas.

Two Burner/Cast Iron pans for me. Everything fits in a chuck box and I also carry a 5lb propane tank for heavy use trips.
