Regarding Forum Maintenance - Missing Posts

Hey all,

While addressing security updates, we took the opportunity to upgrade much of the back-end software for the forums. It turned into a larger task than expected, and we needed to restore the database from earlier Sunday. The result is that there was a period of a few hours that was lost. If you notice that a post is missing, that is the reason.

For forum maintenance, we try to give plenty of notice, and make it as smooth as possible. The vast majority of times, there is no service interruption or loss of data. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Upgrading and maintenance is an important part of making sure the site remains stable and secure for our community.

That might has more to do with the hacking attacks that had to be fended off.. More things seem broken today that actually worked yesterday, like the chat thingy is gone as well.

And the main page was totally in scrambles as well now, while it worked earlyer.. dodgy stuff happening still..
 
I thought something was weird when I was locked out of my account due to too many failed passwords, I hadn't even logged in that day. Then the site was down for maintenance.
 
Gentlemen, though I'm not a supporter at this time I am seriously considering it now. I realized how much I get from this community and how much I missed checking in throughout my work day. I can't imagine how time consuming it is to run this site, not to mention the financial resources required. This community is only going to get bigger and better.

Dude it seriously becomes a habit, that I miss greatly when I can't get on.

Not sure if this is known right now, but the OB App wont let me post or like from my Android phone :cry:. Also it lists no topics in the Participated and Unread sections.

Mine did that then i logged out then back in with the app and it started working. Try that and see if it works.
