Shopping around for a way to store my 33in spare tire in the bed of my 2003 Silverado along with my mountain bike. Found the Wilco Offroad Tiregates. But man $$$! Are there any other options out there that people are happy with? Thanks for the advice

I have a 2013 silverado, and ended up building a tire swing for my rear bumper. with a little skill it wasn't actually too hard to make, and I've been very happy with it. It was also a lot cheaper than buying something. If you don't want to do a swing, and are not scared if drilling into the bed, you could probably come up with some sort of mount that attaches to the front of bed and holds the tire vertical. That would give you space to put your bike over the tailgate, and most of the full use of your bed.
