Overlanding with older vehicles

I've said in other posts that I had two K1500 full size two-door Blazers. A 1994 and then a 1993. Loved them both, but not quite the old-school I always wanted. Always wanted a Jaws Sherrif Brody or Stranger Things Chief Hopper style K5. Someday I will. For now, though, I am planning to retro-old-school-ize my 14 Sierra to be something like one of these:
Oh wow, I really like that paint job!

OK, what is your intended time frame? Will it be after the pandemic is over?

Please go back and read post #81.

This is assuming things are somewhat back to normal by then. And attending the NWOR in Sep is not a requirement to participate in the Old School Run.

Just because this is going to be an "Old School" run, doesn't mean your vehicle can't be modified. I've started doing a disc brake conversion on the front axle of my 46 Willys. Good brakes are always a good thing.

If you've been looking for a good excuse to upgrade your old-school vehicle, now's the time!

Ok; it is posted under "Rally Point".

Time to sign-up! Get your "Old-School" vehicle spruced-up and ready to roll! Now's the time to start planning (and doing) any needed maintenance, repairs, or get new overlanding/camping gear. Don't wait till the last minute.
