Hello Mike,

Great, think I will order it in a while. I have just received the book from Chris Scott, Morocco Overland. Specifiec for our trip to Morocco. And I think in a while I would love the one you mentioned, to have as well.

Iam most of all very curious, how exact his routes are.

Greetings from Robert

PS, why dont we write our own version of that Handbook?
Lets make a topic with tips and tricks, does and no does, what went wrong and what went good. And the trails in your neighbourhood.
All together it could be a great piece of information to share.

Hi Mike,

I love the handbook idea!

Another "Must Read" about overlanding is Tom Sheppard's Vehicle Dependent Expedition Guide. The 3rd edition has been out of print for years, yet sells used on Amazon for around $400. The 4th edition just came into print. It is co-authored by Jonathan Hansen from Overland Journal and now includes details about North America. If anyone is interested in nabbing a copy of the 4th edition before it sells out, Exploring Overland will be the distributer for North America. Find out more at the VDEG Exploring Overland Publications page.

Hookjaw's recommendation: Tom Sheppard’s Vehicle Dependent Expedition Guide is generally considered the bible of overland travel. It's an incredible book and one I often reference.
