Oklahoma overlanders where ya at?

Kate directed us to this OK section.

We're Jeff & Ginger Williams from Tulsa, Glenpool actually. Our main overland rig is a 2014 Wrangler Rubicon, most trips we'll also take my wife's 2018 Wrangler Sport.

We started overlanding about 7 years ago in the Ozark National Forest, since then we've done 2 trips a year (usually about 3 days) thru various areas of the ONF.
Recently did quite a few trails in CO in my wife's Jeep.

Thanks for having us here!

Hey guys it's been a while, but I certainly feel like getting to be more active again. Over Halloween weekend three church friends and myself spent two nights on the trails. We started in Billy Creek, got lost wound up finding the fire tower, and just had a phenomenal weekend of fellowship and fun. We're planning another for the spring.

Any big plans for 2022 yet?

Great chance to get out and knock the dust off the equipment! Anyone have any trips planned?

I'm hoping to get out to the Ouachita National Forest in the coming weeks! I got out there a couple times last year and it was great!

I'm looking for more dispersed camping spots that are 2-3 hours from Norman/OKC.

Boatloads of them out there. This isn't even all of them, not by a long shot. National Forests and BLM lands, some of the best camping around.

Anyone still active in Oklahoma? Would live to connect with some folks and get out this summer

Had to look up Texas County, Ok. Looks like you're really close to great overlanding in NM and Colorado.
