Not your typical Overland Vehicle (pics)

Can't find any more active pics, but my wife and I used to go on trips and sleep out of the back of this (in hindsight) very unreliable Audi Allroad. Still loved it though.

Since I didn't see any others across the first 10 pages I reckon it's not a typical overland vehicle. Pajero 4.

Hallo fra andre siden av Norge :D
Haha, det er jo ikke lange biten fra Moss til Sandnes  Noen turer/ treff planlagt for sommeren?
Better keep this in English I reckon - my rig will be ready within a few weeks now (hopefully) and I'll head out on a shakedown trip in southern south-Norway. Going to visit a buddy in Haugesund. Let me know if you know of any good (legal) places to overland and camp in this part of Norway? Or places to avoid now with the 100 year floods coming up. Or wanna join me for a day or two.

As much as I love to see fully fixed up Tacoma's, 4Runners, f150's ect. I am actually more interested in the not so typical rigs.

I Myself have been contemplating for over a year now doing a small build on my 2006 Mariner Hybrid AWD. Mainly because it gets 30mpg and I because its just plain different. I did see an article way back of a Hybrid Escape (which is basically the same thing) doing the Mojave RD.

So lets see them!
How about this home built rig? 1999 GMC Yukon SLE 4wd with 5.7l Vortec LSI Gen III engine, 4 speed auto, IFSSnapshot 1 (5-27-2020 9-22 AM).jpgyukon views.jpg and limited shift rear diff. Snapshot 1 (5-27-2020 9-22 AM).jpgyukon views.jpg

Just completed a video of a one day trip on and off road to a few places of interest here in Southern Arizona. Thought you all might find it interesting. The trip started in Hereford, AZ, then to Tombstone then a ghost town called Gleeson, and finally in the Dragoon mountains at Texas Canyon, where many western movies in the 40'-60s were filmed including Roy Rogers and The Lone Ranger.

Finishing up my Titan XD. I wanted to put Bilstein adjustable front shocks and remove my leveling kit, so less point of failure, also it might better alignment.

Saw this, other than the lift and tires it is quite cool for an overlander base.
