Didn’t even notice my friend’s rig parked next to it, even w/ the Union Jack spread across the windscreen. Amazed by how many MD people braved the early subzero temps for C&C.

If I didn't have the pups then I would have headed in to warm up and grab a cup of coffee. Maybe next time. I now know that my smallest dog wouldn't be to keen on camping out in the cold!

Hey some plans changed so we're not busy the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We're planning on taking a break from working on the house for a day trip up to Blue Ridge for their flea market.
Leaving Woodbridge in early AM. Let me know if anyone wants to join we can caravan.

We weren't planning on it because we have stuff to do Sunday around noon, but I'll prob bring the tent just in case.
Only a cheap CB so far. Planning on getting 2m/70cm in future.

Just a day trip for me.

There's a chance we might head to Blue Ridge on Friday instead of hiking locally. We'd spend the night, hang out for flea market Saturday, maybe camp that night too, or maybe head back Saturday evening. If anyone wants to join lmk, or anyone else attending that wants to meet up, we can sync CB channels or 2-ways or something.
I am still up for this.. day trip that is.

I live in Alexandria and bought a 2016 4Runner Trail today and looking to get into this. Right off the bat I know I need to look into a tire and lift combination but any recommendations for where to go with a stock vehicle? Also, is there a lot to offer at the flea market that has been discussed or is this a new thing?
I am an active duty Marine and have camping gear with a decent ability to suffer in silence, and have access to the auto hobby shops on various bases so I am good there.

I have seen a stock 4 Runner limited run the trails here. I don't know much about Toyota's but I feel you should be fine for the trails around here. GWNF has been the go to for the last 4-5ish trips I have been on. There are trails mapped out if you have Gaia. Should be some GPS coordinates within the thread to!
But that ground clearance tho :D
