Mojave Trail Guardian, April 9-12/13 2026

I am 95% sure the dates for the first 2026 Mojave Trail Guardian will be April 9-12/13. Still lots to work out with NPS but these dates work best for what we want to accomplish.

Project 1 - Finish the data collection of dispersed campsites within the preserve.
Project 2 - Work on some repairs to the OX Ranch in the Lanfair Valley. (lots of logistics to be done before this one)

Basecamp will be at the OX Ranch on Lanfair Road.

Heads up everyone, just got an email from Dave Nichols Mojave Archeologist that the April 10&11 work days dont work for him. Dave just found out he is being sent to the Desert Symposium as the keynote speaker that weekend.

Does the next weekend work for everyone, April 17, 18/19

Yep got a call from the Mojave and we are a go

In just over two months Overland Bound will be back in the Mojave National Preserve working with the National Park Service. Work party dates are April 17-18, details coming out soon, stay tuned for the Rally Point hopefully next week.
