Minnesota home base here so most of my trips are in the north woods and up into Canada where a smaller nimble vehicle actually works better for getting around in the tight forest and fire roads. My rig is a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, 2" lift, custom rack. all of my camping gear packs inside, chainsaw, recovery gear packs on the roof. Additions planed for this winter, upgrade to 32" tire, rear tire carrier, rock rails ( protection from logs and hidden stumps ) and some aux lighting.
