Just got all of my stuff in the mail from OB. WOW! The professionalism in the shipping was top notch. It felt amazing opening the package up and felt even better putting the emblem on my Jeep. Member No. 16328.

I’ve already gone on a couple of adventures with the family, but I’m looking forward to go on a lot more!

Welcome to OB from another Reno-ite. There is a Reno Overlanding group in Reno. Check out their threadView attachment 83660 View attachment 83661 View attachment 83649 Hey Everyone! I just joined a few days ago, but I've been an avid offroader, camper all my life. I've been busy being a dad for the last 17 years and now that I'm in my 40's, my kids need less of my money, and have a little more cash in my pocket, I've decided to dive back into offroad. Low and behold what used to do (driving into the middle of nowhere and camping) is now a thing called overland, with all sorts of fancy accessories and cool stuff I want on my rigs. I am eager to outfit two of my three rigs for some adventure. I have a 2016 F150 4x4 with factory locker in the rear that's my daily driver. I'm about to install a mild BDS lift and 35" tires and am trying to figure out how far I want to go with it since it is my primary. I know I'll be adding offroad bumpers, cargo drawers and a bed rack eventually.
I plan to make my OJ era "Beater Bronco" my primary "overlanding" rig. I'm rebuilding my diffs with 488 gears and LSD front and rear, doing a 4" lift and 35" tires. I already installed an offroad rear bumper (to replace the stock bumper I destroyed offroad!) and am adding a spare tire carrier and storage drawers in the back. I have an NP205 transfer case I plan to upgrade/rebuild and eventually pair it up with an NP203 with a doubler and triple stick kit. Anyway, as you can see: I really enjoy trail rides and offroad, I also enjoy camping and hiking and hope to get an RTT on the Bronco and other gear eventually. I've never outfitted a vehicle for overland and am hoping to learn a bunch here and make some friends in the Reno/NorCal area to do some adventuring.
I also have a 1968 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser I'm in the middle of restoring (mod). It is sucking up a lot of resources, but I'll be diverting some funds the Bronco's way latter this winter and spring.
Thanks for having me!
