No real Overlanding experience but grew up 4 wheeling/camping around northern CA. Actually learned to drive in an old International Harvester pick up truck on the trails around the American river. Still camp as an adult but mostly in regular campgrounds. My husband and I attended our first meeting on Sat. hosted by Reno Overlanding with education on fixing flats in the field provided by Sierra Foothills Overlanders. So many nice people and good information. We are looking forward to our first Overlanding trip and getting back to nature on a regular basis.

My son-in-law and I are designing a rack system that we will fabricate on our own to get the whole thing going. I'm eager to get out and damage my paint job a bit just to say I have finally arrived. We hope to be outfitted completely and ready for the big boy trips in the spring.

Looking forward to meeting anyone in the Fort Lewis area. I'm in Dupont, spitting distance from I-5 and JBLM main gate.

My name is Roy and I’m from TIJUANA, Mexico. Im really excited to be part of this family, I’m new to the overland scene so my rig it’s slowly getting there, I drive a 2018 Tacoma trd off road with some minor upgrades (she’s my daily). I mostly do baja trails so I’m here to travel, explore and meet new people.

I ended up getting injured on the job and really missed traveling so the past 4 yrs has been difficult stuck looking at the same 4 walls. I’m ready to set out and see the rest of this continent before beginning my travels to see rest of world.

Hi All,

New guy here and no rig yet but that is in process as we speak. I'm located near Dayton, Ohio. And I have minimal Overlanding experience. Mainly Joining here because I plan to get into this hobby more extensively and I'm looking for guidance on where to go that is fairly enough close to me for a weekend trip to start.

  2. Glad to hear that you are well along the road to recovery from your injuries.
  3. Congrats on the new Taco and on getting your Amateur Radio Ticket.
The great news is that you are in one of the best areas to get back to Mother Nature! To top it off, the Northwest Region is growing like crazy and really starting to get energized.
