Location: Southern California + San Tan Valley
Rig: ...I guess my company truck, a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia, 42" sleeper cab, with enclosed headache rack
Overlanding experience: moderate on-road, novice off-road

Why I'm not on a trucking forum instead: I want to save up for an overland rig, but I don't even know where to start. Also, in exchange for knowledge from other members, I feel like my job may offer a unique insight on how to traverse the roads that take us off the road, like with utilizing truck stops, or securing cargo with straps, chains, tarps, etc.
Welcome to Overland Bound!

Looks ripe and “red”y for some forest pin-striping! Love these rigs. If I didn’t need the extra square footage, I would have gone with a 4Runner. Enjoy it.....they’re awesome! Welcome aboard Overland Bound. Spend some time on this site....it’s chock full of information and people who are like minded and want to help in any way they can. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

1) Picture! If you have a rig, we want to see it!
-None Yet but am currently using my 2012 Prius (LOL) to go carcamping and adventuring*

2) Location (General area is fine)
South San Francisco, California

3) Rig (Year, Make, Model, etc.)
Currently my 2012 Toyota Prius.
I want to buy a FJ80 Land Cruiser or 4runner but can't seem to find affordable ones with low mileage. (any recommendations???)

4) Overlanding Experience Background (Novice or Experienced, you're welcome here!)
Novie with no experience. I hope I can gain some experience through you guys! You guys are awesome!

Hi everyone! New to the forum and overlanding. I’m from Wisconsin and have a 2017 Silverado 1500 I’m converting for long trips. I’ve always been a road tripper, but the truck has opened up new possibilities, and I’m excited to take the road less traveled. This summer was a combination of road tripping, truck camping, and a short attempt at rougher terrain for the first time on the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail (which ended in a cracked windshield). Kind of learning as I go.

Hey everyone! Decided to finally get my foot in the door and join up officially. Cannot wait to get more involved and explore new area's and trails.

1) Picture! If you have a rig, we want to see it!
Sadly, I don't have any on this computer.
2) Location (General area is fine)
I am going to go with Phoenix, Arizona as my home location. Raised there for 28 years, been all over but there are parts of the state/region I surly have missed.
3) Rig (Year, Make, Model, etc.)
2014 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab.
4) Overlanding Experience Background (Novice or Experienced, you're welcome here!)
I am a novice. I have done extensive camping when I was younger, which I guess mostly was overlanding? Defiantly a lot of "car camping" between the family and boy scouting. Now that I have discovered a term and community for this, i really want to get back into the swing of this lifestyle.

Hey everyone. My name is Cheyenne. I am a freshly minted Overlander; got my emblem and certificate today. Woot! Woot!... I’m currently residing in Panama City Beach, Florida. I own a 1996 Toyota 4Runner SR5 that I’m slowly but surely modifying into a proper overland vehicle. I’m really happy to be here and part of something so (in my opinion) important, especially today. I share a deep affection and appreciation for the outdoors like many of you, which is why I was really drawn in by the message and purpose of Overland Bound. I’m looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you out there in the field, sharing those experiences and learning as much as possible as I’m most certainly a novice. Again, really happy and excited to be part of this, and thank you for being here!

Cheers!
I went to NDSTC in Panama City Beach in '07!
