What engine is in your 2004 Discovery TD5 or a 3.5l V8
I have TD5 in my Defender now but previously loved my Discovery with the 3.5l V8 just a bit expensive to run here in the UK

I have the 4.6 V8. I wish I had the td5. I had a td5 in my Defender and lived that engine. Proper sound for an offroader too :).
I had the 110 while living in the UK. We don’t get them here in Canada unfortunately. I might have to do an import in a year or so...

Thanks for having me! I live in Salem Oregon and currently own and 2003 Tundra Limited AC 4wd and a 2004 Tundra Limited 2wd which is the rig I will be making my overlander. Very excited to get my rig started by this summer so the fam and I can go camping and explore! Will be posting pics soon

Welcome, @Issac Gutierrez, to Overland Bound and the ever growing swell of people in the NorthWest Region! I'm guessing, by your lineup of trucks, that you don't like Toyota? Just Kidding! All kidding aside, Salem is a great place for a budding overlander and, thanks to @Roy & Kristin Zirpoli, you will find lots of opportunities to meet other overlanders as well as get out and adventure. There is a Willamette Valley- Overland Bound Facebook group [link] that may be of interest to you.

You can also stop into the NorthWest Region forums [link] to get to know who else is in the region and hear about events. Of course, events are also posted on the Rally Point system [link], so you might want to check that out as well.

Hello everyone,

This is Bryan from eastern Utah, driving offroad is normally a given in this area. I mainly did rougher trails and rocks with my prior vehicle (2000 Jeep XJ, 6 inches of lift, 35" tires, etc.). I got tires of doing this now and I am getting into longer overland trips. I am now outfitting the newer vehicle now (2014 Jeep JKUR, stock suspension, roof rack with RTT, interior mods galore). Still planning other mods to do.

I'm a novice overlander, but ready to learn some things. I chose the Lexus GX because it is comfortable as my daily driver, and has a rugged truck chassis underneath. Planning a few mods to make it more trail worthy.

I finally decided to join the site after a few months of lurking.
Rig: 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 Z71, G80 rear locker, 2.5" lift and 33" K02's
Experience: Intermediate, casual weekend warrior, nothing too serious.

I use the rig as a semi-daily driver (I own 3 BMW's as well so its nice to have something reliable in the stable) and for towing my 1997 M3 track car all around California for events.
