Checking in from Loveland CO here. Used to wheel in a CJ7 years ago then tried on the self contained tow behind. It's time to lose that brick on wheels, get back to my roots and build out the Ram 1500 for a more simplistic approach to enjoying Mother Nature. Planning for a bed rack with RTT, awning and eventually an AEV 4" lift sitting on 35's.

I'm excited to be a part of this community!

Excited to be here.

Long Beach, Ca
Lexus GX470 - 2007
Minor mods. Front Runner roof rack, Nitto 33's, Dobinsons 2.5" lift but other than that stock.

I've 4x4 and camped my whole life but new to overlanding. We bought this rig in the summer of 2018 and are slowly outfitting and getting out farther and farther. I'm here to gain knowledge about my rig and gear.

Thanks so much!

Hello everyone, Scott here from Seattle. I'm new to overloading with my only experience with anything mud and dirt is from ATV'n. 2018 was a good Christmas since that's when we bought our 2018 4Runner TRD Pro. I recently saw a post on IG with a big burly guy holding a STIHL chainsaw, the caption said, "If you have a beard and you can't, fell a log, butcher a deer, build a fire, sharpen a chainsaw, fire a gun or drive a truck; It's time to shave!" What I'm getting at is that I bought the rig, slowly outfitting it so it's time to get out and use it. Looking forward to what Overland Bound Seattle area has for adventures.

Hello all!

My name is Chaz.
East Bay-ish, California.
Basically stock '07 Tacoma.
No real overloading experience other than car camping around Washington, Oregon, and California. Headed out for a multi week Baja adventure at the end of January though! View attachment 82265

Welcome Angus, look forward to chatting and catching up with your travels. I must admit very jealous you have the Pyrenees to play in, hopefully a few of us will get across meet up for a Pyrenees trip sometime in the future. We enjoyed a short visit in 2017 when we did our Big Trip.

If you need any information or want to pass on any ideas please do not hesitate to give me a shout. This is our community so please get involved.

Regards
Dave
Thanks Dave for welcoming me here, i follow you and went to your website and saw the path of your incredible 2017 trip indeed. I also posted in your West Europe section about the LR meeting and yeah, like i said there, a lot of people from Europe and UK travel to Pyrenees so, as i live there, if anyone needs assistance or informations regarding laws, things you can do or can't, or any thing specific to that area i will be more than happy to help. Thanks again :)

Welcome Scott. Plenty of opportunities around here for us to earn our beards. Hope we meet up sometime out there.

Good Morning,

I am excited to finally join you guys. I have been slowly building my 2015 Jeep for overlanding. I fell in love with the idea the middle of last year and have had a blast exploring Utah after living here my entire life. I cant wait to get to know you guys and kick off the weekend at the Winter 4X4 Jamboree in Hurricane Utah.

Hi! I just joined and I look forward to meeting other overlanders and participating in the forum.
I am in Halifax, NS, Canada but I tend to move a lot (thanks to the Navy)
I drive a 2004 Land Rover Discovery, it works most of the time :) Not overly modified, just a OME 50mm lift. I still have the steel bumper and sliders sitting by the garage waiting for me to put them on.
I would say I am moderately experienced. I have participated in various offroading events with OVLR but always based on a base camp. I am looking at adapting my truck and equipment to be a bit more versatile and be able to overland a bit more. Cheers
David

Traveler I

Hello Everyone,

I am Eric from Los Angeles California. I drive a 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser Fzj80 and a 1972 Land Cruiser FJ55. I have the 80 pretty well built with ARB front bumper with side rails and sliders, TJM snorkel, AOE rear bumper spare tire and gas can swing out, Iron Man roof rack, IPF lights, rear view camera, custom sounds and stereo, warn 9k winch, 315 ko2's, and 3" OME lift with OME sport shocks. My 72 is newly restored with a PTO winch. I plan on keeping 72 maily stock. I love to go camping and take 80 overlanding whenever possible. Glad to be part of this community.
