lookin for an 'O' ring

it might be a lame request, but i need a replacement O ring for the dana 44 ARB differential cover dip stick up top. on replacing the diff fluid it looks like a previously over tightened the stick and crushed the O ring.

maybe home depot has the right size or a silicone ring will do?

Looks like this o-ring should be resistant to oil, etc.

Try this as a low-cost alternative

It might contain the size you need, and if it doesn't, you have a decent assortment of Nitrile O-Rings!

Go to ye olde parts store and get a o ring kit. They usually have them in standard and metric size. Even have some that you can splice your own exact size

If you can takeout or have most of the old o-ring any automotive supply shop should have the proper o-ring. Going to the local home improvement store might get you an o- ring, but it needs to be vinyl or resistant to oil as the gear oil will eat the rubber o-ring! Benz.

I work in automotive supply chain. Get me the ID, OD, material diameter and durometer and I can find it for you probably.
