If he and I can meet up somewhere I might be in this yet...I just don't want to try and find you guys on unknown trails
Come on. Its all about the journey not the destination. If you get lost get lost somewhere beautiful and pitch a tent for the night. Just make sure you can find your way back.

In this case it's about destination. Need to get in touch with some of these guys in person before I lose my mind. Long drive just to hit some trails alone :-)

That did help. Where will you guys be camped tonight? End part 1?
I won't be joining the group until Sunday night, but I believe they will be camping at Poker Flat tonight. It is at the end of part 2.

Google Maps is not able to make a route that goes from Downieville to Poker Flat, so I broke it into two parts, and joined them by drawing a route in between the two.

Just got truck loaded. Need a shower and pack and an ice/food stop.

Is this trail doable in the dark or should I wait til AM?

Taking a break for a minute though...whew!

ive only done the trail in the dark, its 90% fire road with a pretty easy "trail" section that drops you into poker flat. you will have no issues
