Does anyone have any good dispersed camping in the Eastern Sierrias between Bishop and Lee Vining?
Trying to meep up with some firends who will be driving a mixed collection of rigs including one large Rental SUV (IE: Suburbun, Expidition, Tahoe Xl etc... Not really an offroad rig) since they are flying in.

I'm also looking for a good map or book that covers the area.
If anyone has any suggestions please forward to me.

Thanks

We had 4 vehicles on the beach there , large rock fire pit however bring your own wood nothing but sagebrush around found it was easy to drive to however there is a rutted hill to navigate up but should be no problem in a stock suv

Also has anyone been up the road to the Patriarch Grove this year? I just heard that the road was damaged and had gotten very hard on tires, even 4x4 truck tires. I'm trying to get a feel for if it's an option with the rental rigs, if we will need to consolidate to the modified trucks, or if it's passable.

Thanks
