Count me in. I'm always the one stopping for people on the side of the road and hopping into the rig to respond to a call for need. Recovery and mechanics is my game

Yes corrections count. Ive been state Corrections officer for 5 yrs. We are the first to set up a perimeter and go after them when they escape. Which one are you at. I work for Ohio.
3 years with Colorado. We are also the first to assualts, murders and medical emergencies.

Since we aren’t in the public eye I think a lot of people forget about us. That’s why I asked.

Hey guys,

We received the 2nd prototype today! Here is an image. Please let me know what you think. This is the "First Responder" version. All other rockers would be similar in style, but with the appropriate icon. Let me know what you think. We do not HAVE to go into production on these, and can iterate. We thought this design was more cohesive with the emblem then the previous version.

I really like it. Will there only be one rocker, or will they be able to stack... ie, first responder, veteran, purple heart, ect... or is the idea you can only put one rocker on...1 and done?

I'm thinking and it may be too late, but having 1 for the veteran "DC2 SW". Then below it one for Fire Service "Fire Captain 34" or Fire Capt. IAFF 647"
let me know, I'm in for one or two regardless!

This is great However;

As a military veteran and a first responder veteran, if we are going to put all of our trades, medals, functions, ranks, qualifications, locations, dogs, cat names on these in my opinion is going to overwhelm this and go nowhere.
The logistics and cost will be so much it will be crazy to manufacture.
I think it needs to be generic, or we will look like North Korean generals.

For example
I could have 3 anchor rockers

1. Anchor = RAF REGIMENT
Stack 1 = combat medic
Stack 2 = rigger Marshaller
Stack 3 = CSAR = combat search and rescue
Stack 4 = MERT = Medical emergency response team
Stack 5 = sniper
Stack 6 = command post Signaller
Stack 7 = 81mm mortar
Stack 7a= MFC
Stack 8 = All Arm EOD Search (IED Sweeper)
Stack 8 = Rapier SAM
Stack 9 = CVRT
Stack 10 = LAW 90
Stack 11 = SF Gunner
Stack 12 = Arctic Warfare

Anchor 2 = Combat Veteran (medals)
1. GSM Northern Ireland
2. UN Cyprus
3. NATO SFOR
5. NATO KFOR
6. Queens Gold Jubilee
7. Queens Diamond Jubilee
8. ACGSM
9. Long Service medal (RAF) (never was caught medal)

Anchor 3 = First Responder
1. Mountain Rescue
2. EMT
3. MREMT
4. SAR QRT
5. Cave Rescue
6. Field Helicopter triage marshaller
7. Triage command post commander

So with all of these and trying to cope with every country, county, state, province, hamlet, own quirks this could cost OB loads of money to just sit on stock that may rarely get asked upon.

I say keep it simple.
With cross trades or change of jobs have anchors and rockers with:

Emergency services - serving
Emergency services - veteran
Military - Serving
Military - Veteran

Rockers only
Fire
EMT
Paramedic
Doctor
SAR
SAR-Dog
Pilot

Deal with military secondary qualifications later as that is a discussion on its own,
LEO are the best to discuss what is best for them

We could deal with all of the custom sub stuff with blanks that could be etched.

No offense to your ideas or anyone left out. But I think they should just keep it simple. Fire, EMS, L.E, and possibly military. When people think “first responder” that’s usually what comes to mind tends to umbrella cover most people that into this category.

Yes this idea is exactly what I was saying.

First responder (anchor)
Fire
Ambulance/EMS (Europe it is not part of fire)
L.E
Search and Rescue ( mountain, coast guard )

That would be it for first responders.

If the military wants an anchor then this could be the solution as in another thread they are asking for the same thing as the first responders

military (anchor)
Navy/marines
Army
Airforce
Merchant Navy

Other areas

Forestry service
International disaster first responders
Chemical biological international first responders

So will Correctional Officers be mixed in there with Leo? People always forget we exist.

Oh dispatchers too?! I think we are all overthinking this and we need like a couple rockers that cover an umbrella IE military for armed forces, law enforcement for all branches, etc...

In Canada, the symbol that represents Corrections is the crossed torch and key:
v472_20080030_badge_Correctional_NGM.jpg
Customs, Immigration and Border Protection has traditionally been symbolized by the portcullis:
Portcullis.png
The use of the portcullis is especially linked to a customs law case in the UK long ago, in which the judge's ruling included the phrase: "The ports of the land are the King's gates, and he may open and shut them to whomever he pleases."

That would be up to the Leo community to decide what criteria is LEO
Sheriff
Peace officer,
Transit peace officer
Transit police
Correctional office
Parole officer
Game wardens
Forestry constable
Forest warden
Police cadet
Traffic warden
Iron order
Blue knights
Etc.
Are some I can think of
