The trip to Bodie Ghost town and Belfort Ghost town was pretty awesome! The first night we camped off the Bodie road in a huge valley and the night went so well it ended in a tortilla face slapping contest….
The next day we toured Bodie then jaunted over to Aurora cemetery for lunch, and up to 10,202’ to camp at Belfort ghost town. The views up the shelf road were legit, so was the rocky climb up. It’s a must visit place!
Sunday June 12th we have our meet up 1-3pm and we will discuss high altitude camping and preparedness, hear trip reports for Black Rock and the Bodie trip. For the yearly plan look at post #2 of this East Bay thread

Wanna get away? Escape the dog days of summer August 5-7th up at Leavitt Lake. We are going to meet up there to hang out all weekend in one location at 9500’ relaxing, kayaking, biking, hiking, and depending upon wind we may even do an outdoor movie night.
