This looks like it will be an awesome run. Unfortunately we’ll be in Eastern Canada in June!

Thanks for the invite

Will put this on the calendar as well, Jackson is just down the road from me. Will need to work out the work schedule.

Hey, can any of you locals provide an update on current snow conditions? It looks like the Sierras are buried in snow and won't be ready by June. I'm really looking forward to this trip, but being from the PNW, I'm not trying to fight wet melting snow. It's easier to drive through wet concrete.

Not only the snow, but this new heavy rain could really wash out roads and uproot trees.

I know CA needs the water, but not like this.

**ATTENTION**

I'm going to have to make changes to this plan, or possibly cancel. Turns out I can't leave on time which will impact the timing of the entire trip.

If the roads are open, the trip is on.
With a 244% of average snowpack, I have no idea if these roads are drivable until I see them.

It had to be moved back a couple days from the original plan and now launches on Sunday.

Can’t shift my calendar unfortunately. I am out.

I'm looking at GAIA GPS with the snow level map turned on.
It's showing me a lot of the route is still under snow.
We still have a week, so my fingers are crossed.

Anybody local have a better idea what the situation will be?
Hungaletti will probably be the highest point at over 9000 ft. elevation. I don't have a lot of hope left for that point.

The day 2 & day 3 plan looks pretty clear.

Just so you know, we may have to be super flexible and improvise along the way.

Would be a really good idea to make sure you have maps downloaded for offline use.

Highway 88 at Blue Lakes trail was closed due to snow last week, some trails are opening up but its a slow go until July.

Hey guys, I'm sorry that I'm going to have to pull out of the trip. Things are just a little too unpredictable for my family of 4 with the snow levels. I wish you guys luck and hope you have a blast.

I’m free Sunday - Tuesday so if you have another route or time I’m still down to go. If not I’ll probably go solo someplace.

I don’t have any other routes.
I’m down here from Washington. I was just following a downloaded track from Overland Trail Guides.
