Upgraded my Nikon D5000 to a D5300 recently and I am going to head our about midnight Mountain Time to try it out on some sky pix. Anybody else heading out. They predict the peak around midnight Mountain Time.

Supposed to be overcast and light rain here on the Maine coast, though I'm sure I'll go out to check! If it's dry and clear enough, yep, you bet, I'll drag my Nikon and tripod and a coupla lenses out and play around a bit.

Went out and played with my new camera. Pix were OK but didn't catch or see a single meteor in almost 2 hours. I may try again tonight.

I'm going to head out to the West Desert tonight in Utah and try my luck! It will be a good night to set up my slider and do a long time-lapse. Looking forward to seeing what you all capture!

Cloudy and rainy here. Will be staying in. Post up if you get some good shots.
