4Runner Build - Community guided

- you can go deeper in water. I still have my limit to be right above the tire, and if I accidentally go too deep, my engine won’t be flooded. I’m not deep diving with it.

- dust. In New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and such, if you’re behind someone, the dust filter fills up real quick with sand. This prevents this.

- fender liner removal. No one talks about this, but I think it’s really important. The air intake on the 4Runner is behind the fender, and above the wheel. The liner prevents major particulate to get into the air box. With a snorkel I can delete the fender liner, and while flexing stick a big tire in the fender without scrubbing on the liner.

The big thing too with people is you should do a diff breather with the snorkel. Otherwise you’ll possibly get water in the rear end, which is a no-go.

Also, I think it looks cool. [emoji12]
Cool is important [emoji16] thanks for the info. Snorkel makes sense out here in the desert. Of course cost and better half permissions is another story. [emoji848][emoji12][emoji41]

Springs are going to go on new shocks, so I have a while before those go on. Went 2” in the rear and 3” up front. Those are going to pair with falcon shocks. As far as the sliders, I might paint them this weekend, but it is stupid cold, so those might not see the vehicle for awhile. Sliders were $570 shipped!

First mods coming in hot! Ordered a TJM snorkel + diff breather. Prinsu rack will be ordered this week too.

Will have the snorkel installed hopefully in the next two weeks

How was the Prinsu install? Road noise ok?

Sweet! are you going for the full CBI treatment?

I’m not sure yet. Too many decisions on the MODS! It drives me crazy. I’ll install the Vinyl Black Out on the Toyota emblem when it stops raining and then the ARB Differential Breather before I make any other decisions. I’ll definitely be going with the Prinsu based off your review. How long did it take for you to receive after ordering and install time? I’ll let you know what I decide as far as Rear and Front. It’s not like the vehicle is only 2 days old!! LOL

Did the ARB Diff Breather too!

So I ordered it on black Friday when they released it. I didn't get it till after the 1st of the year, but it was only an afternoon of work, by myself!

I'll probably go for the CBI rear, and im about to order an ARB Front bumper.

Im thinking single swing out, just so I can mount a bike rack to the swing arm. As for toys, I'm single, so more toys for me haha! :tearsofjoy:
