Hi everyone, as I stated in the title, I've been planning this for 3 years. Overland Bound members and their stories have helped me make the right decisions for me and my family. I'm excited to be a part of it.
I finally purchased a used 2019 Ford Ranger. I decided to do all the work myself to prepare the truck. I feel it's important to know as much about the truck as possible, in order to troubleshoot any problems I may encounter on the road.
So far, I've add a 3" suspension lift by Eibach. A set of BDS upper control arms. A Warn winch mounted in a 589 Fabrication hidden winch mount. I have the Yakima Outpost HD bed rack set aside as I wait for the Retrax tonneau cover and a Roam roof top tent to show up. I have a set of 285/70/17 Wildpeak MTs and I'm waiting on the Covert wheels by Fuel to arrive as well.
My wife and I already have enough camping gear to cover a couple of families, so I'm stocked in that category. We've already made a number of weekend trips to get to know our truck and a lot of the Georgia Traverse. I'm looking forward to much more. Thanks to all the overland bound members who have shared their stories and builds. Its helped us tremendously.
