2.5 inch FOX lift and 33 inch all terrains, and whatever else needs to be done to accommodate that. Mine is also a daily driver, so I don’t want to go crazy. I just want those horrible washboard roads to be more tolerable and not have to worry so much about bottoming out in ruts. Also, less...
It’s a really great truck. I’ve been adventuring in pure stock form for the last one and a half years, and I’m finally getting ready to upgrade it a bit. It’s gotten me everywhere I needed to go, but it is a little bit low slung and stiff.
I took a road trip on 89A from Wickenberg to Sedona and made a few stops and detours. No crazy wheeling but I got her a little bit dusty and found some cool new roads to explore at a later date.
Oh man, Flag is an amazing area. The town itself reminds me a lot of Denver and is nice, but the surrounding areas really are special. You could spend years just exploring within a 100 mile radius. I hope you enjoy it there!
No, the one that’s okay in the car is 16 and the one who gets sick is 1. On my next trip, I’ll try giving him a Dramamine and limiting his food before the ride, and I’ll see how that goes.
Nice rig! Mine is still stock, but I think that I am going to go with the level 2 performance package from Ford which is fully warrantied. Even has an engine tune that brings the performance almost up to the 2.7L Ecoboost. I'm a fan of keeping the warranty that I paid for haha.
Pretty much this. I actually went to Yellowstone at the end of June and had a pretty big drive up there, taking a detour to Sacramento to meet with the three friends I went with. We all kept our distance from people and washed/sanitized our hands, and none of us caught covid. And for what...
I bought a hand crank coffee grinder so that I can use whole bean coffee out camping instead of buying the ground stuff. I didn't expect it to grind up the beans more like wood chips than powder, but it was pretty good when I added a little bit more to the percolator. I recommend it to you...
Thanks! That's really lucky on the tent. I'm hesitant to buy an RTT myself because I'm happy to have a ground tent with a cot and don't want all that weight high up on the truck. But I do question my decision making sometimes when I'm packing and bagging everything up including the fold-out...
I love it so much. If it were just a little bit less expensive for the Badlands option, I'd leave my Ranger stock and trade it in the day a Bronco shows up in my local lot. But, since it's a bit too out of the budget and I need the truck for typical truck stuff, I'll be watching new Bronco...
This is a big reason why my truck is still stock almost a year later. I'm a big proponent of "do it once and do it right", so I've been biding my time and saving some cash while aftermarket options have been being developed. She gets the job done and can still take on any track that doesn't...
The orange guy is totally indifferent to the car, and the other one enjoys it when he knows he's going to the dog park or hiking. He does okay on the smooth freeways, but anything else and he doesn't seem like a big fan.
Also, Sampson is adorable.
