Thanks everyone for the info. Starting to look into some of these places and you guys did not disapoint! My problem is going to be trying to fit everything in 2 week!
What type of vehicle will you be in and how much HWY vs Off Road are you looking to do?
If you're going off road, what difficulty of trails are you interested in?
We will be taking our more mildly built 4Runner, so easy to medium level trails, definitely ok with a good mix of highway and dirt...
@trikebubble and @Shakes355 Thanks for the feedback! I'm going to start looking into these places now!
@J&V_Bird Our current goal is to get up in those 2 states, I know its a ton of real estate! Once I figure out what we want to see I'll base the route off of that. It will definitely be a...
The family and I are planning a 2 week long trip to the Pacific North West from Vegas. Time frame will be around mid June. Hoping to make a big loop around both states and see whatever we can see, maybe dip into Canada if we able too. I've never been up in that part of the country before so I...
Myself and a few friends are headed up to Big Bear the end of the month to run some trails and do some camping with the families. Was curious if anyone had some good camp site recomendations for the area. I see the "Yellow Post" sites, just wondering if there are any other good dispersed sites...

In a couple years we plan to sell the wifes 4th gen 4Runner and get one of these or a 100 series. We want something a little bigger with a 3rd row for our 3 kids, and keep it in the Toyota family.
I love dutch oven cooking, most of the time it stays home though, I just don't have the space for it in the 4Runner. Five people in a 3rd gen 4Runner gets TIGHT!
Cobbler is awesome though, any flavor with any cake mix on top.
I would do it with you in a second, but the whole "your a dude thing" keeps getting in my way!
I love this event though, my wife ran it the last two years, navigator for Team Sugar High #126. Good luck and enjoy the heck out of it!
To all the people reading this, get on board and support...
I'm an everything camper, we use the RTT on trips were we are traveling/camping/traveling/camping, etc., which we do a lot of. The RTT is perfect for that and very comfortable. It's NOT for base camping though, if we are going someplace where we are spending a few days without breaking camp...
We had a family friend that had one with the 6.0L, my dad and I pulled the engine in it 4 years ago or so and "bullet proofed" it. Their 4 kids had all grown up and moved away so my wife and I were hoping to purchase it from them for our family, we had all talked about it. About a year ago...
