    ARB snorkel install question...

$700!!!!! Holy shit! That seems crazy to me. It does take some time, but isn't what I'd call hard at all. I'd check some local 4x4 shops in the area, because I'm sure you could find a better price than them. Any Overland shops in that area?

    Harbor freight winch?

My buddy has the 12k and its done great for him. It is really slow tho, but if that doesn't matter it's all good.

    Vehicle Help

Nice sounding set-up. I agree with ZJ Grizzly above, that the weight may restrict you from getting into places with 2wd only. Have you thought about lockers perhaps? Not always cheap, but possibly cheaper than buying a 4x4 on a budget.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Very cool. Yeah, my wife didn't like the straight bar sliders I had, so I went with some with a kick-out (She uses it as a step) , which turned out to really help me over some big rocks.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Little job, but mounted my little tomahawk and bottle opener on my rear cargo box. I seem to really use both of these on the trail.

The Brown Beast '84 Toyota FJ60

I recently saw a cool mod someone did for a hi-lift inside the rear cargo area of the cab. They welded two threaded stand-offs into the metal on the roof and thru the headliner and then mounted the jack with two wing nuts. It looked really clean and didn't take up much room at all. I would...

Recommend a good tire patch kit?

I bought a harbor freight one for a trip on a last second buy and I've used it about three times and it works pretty damn good. Not very fancy, but effective.

    Duralast Platinum Battery Vs. ???

Yeah, that's for sure. I was just wondering. I've had good luck so far, but am installing a second battery, so I was thinking of running an Optima Marine battery, so trying to see what people are running.

Does anyone have a recommendation on a good ipad mount? Either vehicle specific (2010 FJ Cruiser) or universal. Appreciate it!
