Title says it all. I like to get out explore places with my Jeep. Figured this site would be a great place to plan trips and read other stories of overlanding.

Took the ferry to Kodiak several
Years ago and hitchhiked and camped around. Was an amazing trip.

Welcome to the forums. I joined for the exact same reasons and I have not looked back. There are tonnes of great overland vehicle build threads and an excellent overland trip section to check out. Every time I check out the forums, I always find something new that I am interested in. Mere minutes of planned browsing quickly turns into hours of enjoyable reading. I was stationed in kodiak from 2001-2003 and am in process of planning an overland trip there next year and ending the weekend of the crab fest . I'm planning about 2-3 weeks to get out and explore kodiak more now that I'll have the time
