Hello!
Please if you are visiting or even if you are a resident...do not have open flame fires in fire ban areas. The area is so dry and as you can see with the wildfires that we have now, we have a giant tinderbox. Do not assume that you know what you are doing and "its ok if I dont get...
Thanks for the info. I really dont have an agenda, just would like to sequentially make my way back to CO so I am not back tracking too much. I will check it out and thanks for the pics
Hi There,
I will be traveling to South Dakota for work in a few weeks. I am considering extending my trip and go exploring the Black Hills and surrounding areas on my way back to Colorado. I am looking for dispersed camping suggestions for any of those regions. I know there is a fire ban in SD...
Well I have been thinking through my next steps for us. Due to the fact that summer camping season is on the back end of things, once school is back in session and other...so I am probably gonna hold off on more camping gear unless I find exceptional used deals on stuff.
However, I think I need...
Thanks all for the input. Frankly we are new to camping as a family in general so its been a learning curve just how much we use. Our last trip there was a well pump nearby so we were able to refill our 7 gallon reliance for hand washing/dishes. We did run out of drinking water on the last day...

Thanks!
Jared
Interesting thread and some good info!
My only 4x4 vehicle currently is a 2004 chevy suburban 2500 lt with the 8.1l engine. I have it as my highway hauler and family vehicle. Yep it sucks gas, but it's constant regardless of load.
I'm not sure I want to do a whole bunch of modifications to it...
Greetings Friends!
My name is Jared and I am 100% new to overlanding and looking forward to learning and exploring with you all. My wife and I were talking that we really wanted to go camping with the kids to give them that experience. She grew up going camping with family however I did not so...
