    Canyonlands June 2021

Hey. In Canyonlands NP, I just spent the one night at Airport, and finished the trail late on the second afternoon (exiting the west side). Assume you’re starting on the west side to finish via Shafer switch-backs? If so, that’s a long day, but I think it’s possible to finish in daylight...

    Canyonlands June 2021

Hello. I did the White Rim trail in September 2018. Weather was great in the Fall. I did it in 2 days, but 3 days / 2 nights would be better. More time to relax and explore side trails. The picture below is the Airport C/D campsite. That was great, but can be windy. My ground tent was fine...

    Heading to the Northwest

Coming into SE Oregon from Nevada can bring you right through the Alvord Desert/Steens Mountain area. Camping on the desert dry lake bed is a blast, and there are several hot springs around. Not sure if snow will be clear from the Steens Mountain loop in June, but that’s a great drive (gravel)...

4Runner TRD Pro... is it worth it?

You may already have all the responses you need, but hey, what’s a community for??? I had a 2-door JK, and ended up buying a 2017 TRD Off Road. 45k miles on it now, and I’m thrilled with my choice. It has KDSS and heated seats. The TRD models (Pro and Off Road) also have mechanical transfer...

    Camp Photos!

Two campsites on my recent trip to Utah. First is a canyon off the Gemini Bridges Road near Moab. Second is the Airport C campsite on the White Rim Road, Canyonlands National Park.

    Rig Photos

Just came back from Utah (Moab & Canyonlands). First trip with the rig in this configuration. Great trip, but still a bit warm for a soggy Seattle guy.

Hi Greg. Thanks for reaching out and introducing yourself and Little Blue. I’ve been in Seattle for about 10 years (currently living near UW). I’m also new to this forum and looking to make connections and explore the area. Let me know if you want to meet somewhere locally and get to know...

White Rim Trail & Canyonlands National Park

I have Airport C, Candlestick and Labyrinth A. Initially I thought I would spend one or two nights on the trail, but I decided to take my time and explore the area more. Then I have one hotel night in Moab to clean up and re-stock before heading out again. Sent from my iPad using OB...

White Rim Trail & Canyonlands National Park

Hey Wanderlost. Great picture and nice rig! I’m heading to Canyonlands this Fall for the first time. I have my permits for a few White Rim Road campsites already. I have 2-3 more nights that I have not determined the agenda for yet. I’d be happy to hear your favorite spots and any...
