I appreciate that, Glen!
The Viair 450P came today. It is much larger than I was expecting! I was going to put it in the spare wheel, but that ain't gonna work. Rear footwell will probably be its storage space.
It looks to be very well made. I'm pleasantly surprised. I'll have to compare the...
To bring this thread full circle, I ordered the Vlair 450P portable air compressor on Sunday. Despite Peter's 300P suggestion, which is a better buy and probably every bit as capable for how I will use the compressor, I opted for the 100% duty cycle model instead. Thanks for everyone's input!
Steve
Thanks @glen_wesley, but it isn't really very far out of the box. Our Australian friends will attest to modified Subarus being a staple in their outback, and where most of the best offered accessories are made. They also get (or at least got) low range transmissions long after Subaru stopped...
I don't wash the car, so it is only clean due to rain. I'm hoping it gets a lot dirtier when we're on our travels, else I'm doing all this for nought!
Yesterday I ordered a 32" LED combo spot/flood light bar for my roof-top basket, and a Vlair 450P portable air compressor, both from...
Don't worry about it while you're traveling. We can certainly work around a little formatting problems. Wolvee's suggestion seems to work for now, anyway.
Enjoy the trip and forget about us.
<p>Wow, what a huge difference that made! First photo is with just the LEDs I added inside the cargo area yesterday. The next two photos are with the overhead LEDs turned on. All that light for just $14! I'm very pleased with the outcome!</p>

<p>I installed the other two LED strips on the lift gate today. Same parts and wiring as above, except this time I used the always hot side of the third dome light, and added a switch on the inside of the door. This way I can have the lift gate open and not have the overhead lights on, or...
<p>Y'all have a fantastic time, and take lots of photos. I'd love to be going along! Maybe another year.</p>
<p>Have a cold one for me,<br />Steve</p>
Here are the LED light strips I added to the cargo area. $7.19 a pair on Amazon. http://amzn.to/1IwVlO9 I'll be adding two more on the lift gate to act as flood/puddle lights.
Michael,
Over the past week, things seem to be breaking on the forum.
- Photos placed with BB Code don't work any more, only displaying the code
- Signatures are no longer displaying
- The wrench logo is gone, so there's no way to get a list of new posts
- Quotes in BB Code show as BB...
Robert,
I think @administrator must have turned off BB Code on the forum, because my photos placed with BB Code don't work any more, either, and there's no way to go back and edit them.
Steve
Sigs used to work, but they're gone now. So is the hammer symbol to see new posts. I think @Michael is trying to fix the forum and may have accidentally turned some things off.
<p><p>I haven't had any problems posting photos here on the forum. Unless you are referring to being able to go back and edit a post at a later date to add photos. Still can't do that.</p><br /> <p>Maybe someone else was having problems?</p><br />...
