    OB Approved Camping with Firearms

It probably wasn't prudent of me to post my comment and then not come back for half a day. Several of you replied with "mea culpa" comments, but that wasn't needed at all. I wasn't commenting on any post in particular, nor any person, and if it sounded that way, I apologize. The topic can be...

Probably a case of me repeating comments from other forums that may or may not be based on actual use. Thanks.

    OB Approved Camping with Firearms

So far this thread has been very cordial and informative. Let's be *very* careful not to get into imposing one's point of view on others and dragging out a soapbox. It hasn't yet, but all of us know, this can be a very inflammatory topic. Let's not let it go that direction, please. Thanks, Steve

Steve’s 2016 Toyota 4Runner Modification and Adventure Thread

I ordered a Midland 75-822 on Amazon's Prime Day, and it arrived today. I also got the Wilson Lil Will magnetic antenna. I haven't used a CB since it was a big thing in the '70s. Sorta the equivalent to social media today.

    2016 T4R SR5 "Tforce"

Mine are about the same location. The 32" OPT7 bar is hidden behind the fairing, so it is mounted a bit lower than the top of yours. The light is just behind the front of the front roof rail cover. Here's the output with only the OPT7 bar on. The roof doesn't block any light that I...

    Help answering a question

Here's the numbers from the forum home page. That number might be inflated by people who joined but never posted, spammers that got banned, etc. Also keep in mind that there were lots of followers on YouTube and Instagram before there was a forum to join. @Michale or @Corrie could probably tell...

    Best Trail Repairs

Whenever there is a discussion on appropriate vehicle for exploring, or stories of roadside repairs, I always think of my friend Barney Garfield. Like me, he has a 1958 MGA Roadster. Unlike me, his is his only vehicle, and he's been all over North America with it. It now has in excess of 450,000...

It was a neat place to visit. Less tacky than I expected. But I don't think my grandkids will live long enough to see it finished. 50+ years so far, and it is about 15% done.

Here's a link to our trip out west last fall. The outbound trip was just an Interstate rush to get to Seattle, but the wandering about coming back was superb! http://overlandbound.com/forums/threads/steve-debs-cross-country-adventure.347/

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

A belated welcome from another Subaru enthusiast (and Ambassador as of the day before I shipped off my Outback...) I'd imagine that you've already found subaruoutback.org, where there is a wealth of information. And there are various Subaru oriented Facebook Groups that might offer some options...

Going to Arkansas i'll try to post pics as we go

Go during the week if possible, in the rain. The last time we were there, the vast majority of the time was spent in stop/go traffic, with people stopping to get out and look at every deer, bunny, or groundhog along the loop. You'd think after the 73rd deer in a mile, they'd not have to stop...
