We drove to eastern Pennsylvania to drop our daughter off for summer camp, and did a little exploring in the area. We hiked a bit in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, and at @Lipek suggestion, explored Worthingto State Forest. We found several miles of gravel roads to drive, and I...
This is exactly whatI thought when I read the article. Stop! Listen to these guys, or at least think about alternatives. I wondered how much of his next actions were because he didn't want to look bad in front of the other guys.
Thanks, I'll look at these tomorrow. I'm afraid I'll run into crowds anywhere we go.
BTW, and related to your signature. I just watch the episode titled "The Door", and it all clicked for me just before the end... :(
Hi East Coasters, and especially @Lipek
We are headed east from the Cleveland area on this Thursday (6/30) to take our daughter to summer camp NW of Port Jervis/Matamoras. We are staying Thursday night in Matamoras.
After we drop her of on Friday, we thought we'd so a little exploring in the...
So, would we be tarred and feathered if we showed up for the weekend in this? Deb would be much happier than in our two-man tent.
I guess a better question, is is there room for it in the campground? This is the 30' model that is available in Clovis (Fresno) 40 miles from the campground.
I...
@Michael @Corrie I think my previous post came off as complaining about the cost, and if so, I apologize. The $210 for two of us with all that's planned vs the $150 for two people last year is no hardship, and sounds like a very valid expense. It was the additional $500 for what *I* thought was...
Not to me it wasn't. It sounded like if you wanted to go up to Bald Mountain like last your, it was going to cost $500.
I think last year, it was $75 per participant, so with the $210 for the two of us and $500 to drive up the mountain, I was quite taken aback.
Josh,
I've watched all of your videos, and have subscribed to your YouTube Channel (Steve& Deb Exploring the USA)
I know you haven't got much feed back, but I was thoroughly entertained! The music is apropos, and your narration is clear and descriptive while still sounding like you're just...
Our local Wal-Mart has some of the tumblers in stock. I'll pick up a couple 20 oz ones when I get over by the store the next time.
@NorthStar96 Yep, I think Ozark Trail is a Wal-Mart captive supplier.
^^^ This is a good suggestion. Or check with any of your local outfitters. We have a mom & pop outfitter here that has their own free demo days and classes. They even just built a lake just for trying out kayaks and fly fishing equipment.
Wish I was there! Deb is out of town, and Claire is teaching Vacation Bible School, so I'm being the taxi this week. Then Saturday, I'm hauling stuff for the garden club for the city-wide garage sale. But then , it is supposed to be miserably hot and I'd be in a tent, so maybe I'm glad I'm not...
