When you create a new post and then send it, it goes to the end of the thread and shows you your new post. In doing so, it marks it as read by you. So clicking New Posts won't show it. As soon as there is a reply it will show on the new posts list again.
I've found some forum software works...
You can create a thread to contribute a Boot Camp article in the appropriately named "Contribute an Article" forum. These should be detailed tutorials or how-to type threads. @Michael will then review the topic, and discuss potential edits, improvements, etc. to get it up to snuff. Once that is...
For a 3D printed grill badge option, see the thread linked below:

@Tom K
Very cool! I'd thought of having one machined from aluminum with a stud or two on the back similar to European car club badges. (I have one on my MG.)
Here was a previous discussion on sourcing already made grille badge mounts...
We don't have an official rule. Rather than post "Do a search, noob!" I try to gently persuade folks to post in the existing thread like the example quoted. If the conversation continues in the new thread, and I notice it, I'll usually merge them. Sometimes it doesn't make sense to merge, as...
I've been getting the "web page not responding" a lot lately, too. Seems to be mostly in the evening, which may have to do with a busy server? I also see the animation over the alert staying on much longer than usual, too.

@Jose I've seen those pegs on other threads, and the look like a great idea! Your second ladder: Are they side mounted? I can't see a need for two on the rear of the vehicle.
Thanks, @vicali There are a lot of things I like about the Prinsu, including the price. One disadvantage is that if I moved to a different vehicle, I'd need to leave it on the 4Runner and get a new rack for the new vehicle. This would be the case on any rack that requires drilling the roof...
Thanks guys!
At 5' 8", it is a long ways up to strap stuff down, get into the RoofBag, etc. I do have sliders with steps, but that only gets me so high. When I was strapping down the RoofBag prior to our last Seattle trip, I had to roll down the windows in the back doors and stand on the window...
@Michael asked us to point to the similar thread in the Support Forum, where he's watching for new posts with problems. I tried moving your post there, but it seems I don't have permission.

I'm considering replacing my Thule crossbars and Yakima roof basket with a full-length roof rack. I want to go with an aluminum rack, due to living in the rust belt, where salt goes everywhere in the winter. I realize that aluminum oxidizes when exposed to salt, but not as much as steel rusts...
I'm considering replacing my Thule crossbars and Yakima roof basket with a full-length roof rack. Currently, to access the basket, I stand on a door sill, rear bumper, tire, or occasionally the window frame of a rolled-down window. With a full length rack, I could access the entire area using a...
Good Question! @Michael, can you please add Central/South America?
Meanwhile, @Simon76 you are more than welcome to start a discussion in the Overland Trip Planning section.
Welcome aboard!
Steve
You may need to log into the front page with the same username/password that you use on the forum. Supposedly, these logins were combined some time ago, but maybe yours ins't linked?
I'm merging this discussion with the existing article discussion. (Edit: Weird! When I merged the two threads...
