Contacting Members in Your Area Using the Member Map

Your account is already active, so you should have access to the Map. I just edited your location so it would resolve properly on the map. That change should show after midnight Pacific time.

    Cup Holder Tablet/Phone Mount

That looks *solid* @Zack! Very similar to the one posted here by @Lifestyle Overland last year (https://overlandbound.com/forums/threads/overland-ram-mount-solutions.5752/) I'd seen versions with the added second RAM mount on the side of the console, and just received my additional pieces...

How do you carry and dispense water?

Here's our big thread on water storage: Water Storage (Merged Thread) Here is a list of links with other ideas, too (although several are not storage related) https://overlandbound.com/forums/search/1918108/?q=water&o=date&c[title_only]=1

Pop Up? True Offroad with Tent? Hard top? Share your advise/Experience

For less than that VrV, you could get a mid-range or Off Road Extreme Hiker from Denver or Indianapolis. They have better axles and suspension than the simple sprung 2000 pound axles offered on the VrV. That's what's on my basic 5X8 Hiker, which I was told is okay for graded forest service...

Interesting article regarding the 2018 Land Cruiser (or modern 4x4s in general)

An 8-speed 200 series is hopefully my future vehicle! I looked at used ones with 50k+ miles when I bought the 4Runner Trail Premium, and they were still $20k more. If I can eventually swing one, it will likely be my last vehicle. I was surprised to see his comments on the difficulty of every...

    Trasharoo??

Yep, a great number of our members sport a Trasharoo or similar option. Here is a link to a list of existing threads that discuss their uses, mounting options, shortcomings, etc. https://overlandbound.com/forums/search/1915054/?q=trasharoo&o=date&c[title_only]=1

New Ford Ranger arriving in early 2019

I had an '88 4X4 Ranger followed by a '97 2WD F150 Supercab. I loved both of them, but hated the German 6 cylinder in the Ranger. First engine croaked at 80k miles, a rebuilt engine started having problems 10k miles in. New F150s are huge compared to mine. I'm expecting the new Ranger to slot...

    Hello from Tank in SoCal

Absolutely, and the best kind! Welcome, @Tank and I'm glad to see another man of "experienced" age here! You've got a couple on me, though. I was up for the last draft for the SE Asia Games, but fortunate to not have my number called up. Thanks you, sir!

Nope, definitely not intentional. @Michael now has an email out to the developer to get this resolved. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Steve

    Member map

Hmmm, so it has! I never use the map on the mobile app, so never noticed. There was a big upgrade a week or so ago, with a new user interface, so that must have been when it went AWOL. I'll drop a note to @Michael and see if that was the plan.

    Another Subaru Build Thread

I had one of those in my 2008 Outback holding a 7" Garmin, and it worked great. Stayed solid on washboard roads, too. The same part wouldn't stay in the CD slot of my 4Runner at all, even with no weight on it. So, it may or may not work with your Outback configuration. I don't think it would...
