Aluminum has a dramatically higher heat transfer rate than any plastic pipe. Our boiling water into a single wall aluminum cup and a plastic cup. Which one hurts? I've seen several glue-together pipe versions, and I'd be leery to pressurize any to 65 PSI, which is what the new one holds.
