Not a first gen 4Runner, but I have a first gen 4x4 pickup. Suspension is the same, so I’ll follow along too. My truck is still bone stock, so I’m looking for ideas as well.
It seems like there is a registry for most vehicles, but nothing for old vehicles. Let’s start the vintage overlander registry for vehicles at least 30 years old. I’ll start with my 1980 Toyota pickup, production date of 7/1980, 38 years old, and 78,000 original miles.
Nice! I love seeing old Toyotas on the trails. I’m planning on doing some Anza borrego trips this fall and winter once it cools down. Did the Bradshaw Trail a few years ago and had a great time.
I’ve been hunting in Southern California for about 10 years now, for deer and quail. In those years I have just 1 deer in zone D19. Deer hunting in so cal is tough. I did win the draw for zone D17 in the Mojave Preserve 2 years ago, had a great time, but no deer. Didn’t win the draw the last 2...
I’m a relatively new member of the group, and this sounds like a great first run. I’m having a bit of trouble with the rally point though, is this a run from Big Bear down to Pioneertown? Looking forward to meeting some Overland Bound people!
